Ok, don’t get me wrong but who doesn’t love real diamonds? Diamonds are a girl’s best friend – just not always my bank accounts best friend :). For the past couple years, I have come to find out Amazon has the best jewelry and styles. Have you guys seen the big oval eternity rings Hailey Baldwin and Kylie Jenner have been wearing? I instantly fell in love with them, and was on a mission to find them. I quickly realized these rings were very expensive (duh), so I did my research and found them on Amazon. Since purchasing these flashy rings, I have worn them everyday and rarely take them off!
Another big trend I want to mention are tube earrings. You will not find me without these earrings as they’ve become a daily staple in my wardrobe. These earrings are so easy to wear – try them with sweats and a hoodie – or mix it up with a cute dress. I will share some of my favorite earrings with a link at the end of this post!
Spring style is different for everyone (many factors like weather, etc) but my go to look is usually levi jeans or shorts paired with a vintage T shirt (my daily outfit, lol). Incase you haven’t heard, Junk Food T shirts have made a huge comeback! I used to wear these shirts in elementary school and honestly wish I would’ve kept them – even though they I definitely outgrew them. Over the past years, I have been collecting Junk Food T shirts because they’re much cheaper than real vintage t-shirts and get the job done! Oh and not to mention – real vintage t-shirts are hard to come by and can be VERY expensive. It’s all about finding other ways to pull off the look!
I have come to find that bras are always the hardest item in my closet to buy. I never know what type of bra I want to buy – and always find myself asking if I want an underwire bra or sports bra type fit. After years of searching, I have finally found the perfect bra. Drumroll…this revolutionary bra is from Urban Outfitters. It is so comfortable and has great support. Lauren and I have lived in these bras for the past year and I will never get sick of them! I promise you!
BIKINIS! I am such a bikini girl. I used to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on over priced bikinis. I have come to find out that my favorite bikinis are from Billabong. If you don’t know me, I’ve pretty much lived in bikinis my entire life (literally) and I know a good bikini when I see one! Many instagram brands have been coming out with fairly priced quality bikinis and a great brand to check out is Pretty Little Things. They’re easily one of my favorite bikini brands because they look great and are very affordable – each piece is only $10!!! I mean seriously, who doesn’t love a $20 bikini?!
Hoodies are also trending, graphic or plain! My favorite types of hoodies are from Shadow Hill, but if you need a more affordable option with the same look – my pick is Gildan.
My one luxury item I treat myself to is perfume. I’m a firm believer in every person feeling confident in the scent they are wearing. I’m constantly changing my perfumes throughout the year, but as of right now my go-to perfume is Le Labo Santal. Everytime I wear this fragrance I get so many compliments and it’s Unisex!
Last but definitely not least, two of my favorite products right now everyone should pay attention to as summer approaches… SUNSCREEN! It is so important to wear, I seriously cannot stress this enough. Growing up and living on the beach my whole life I have learned that I can’t go a day without it. I’m not even kidding, but I put on sunscreen everyday, even if I’m running up the street to run errands. When I was 18, I was diagnosed with skin cancer on my back – this was a real wake up call. When I was younger, I didn’t put sunscreen on like I should’ve, and it almost costed me my life. I was very lucky that doctors were able to remove the cancer, but warned me to start taking the idea of wearing sunscreen daily seriously. After testing many different types of sunscreen, I have found my go to brand BU Sunscreen. BU Sunscreen is great because the ingredients are safe for the environment. Many sunscreens you buy at your local market / pharmacy (like CVS, Target, etc.) are toxic for your skin and the ocean! I want to give a shout out to Hawaii for being the first state in the US to ban the sale of sunscreen containing the coral harming chemicals OXY, benzone, etc.!!!
Another topic very dear to me is the amount of plastic waste in our oceans. As many of you know, I live at the beach and am constantly cleaning up trash in my front yard. The ocean has become a big part of my life and I feel deeply connected to it. A big issue today are those PLASTIC STRAWS! I have completely stopped using plastic straws, and started carrying several metal straws in my bag. I found this new brand metal straw brand on instagram – SuckIt Straws. Not only are they great for the ocean, but they are so cute and easy to use! SuckIt Straws donate 10% of profits to help clean our oceans.
